23rd May Music Night

As Forest Gump said ‘life is like a box of chocolates’ and that is how our music night felt, it was full of delight and wonderful surprises.

Marty opened the night with another one of his clever ad hoc numbers which was a warm introduction for our distinguished resident trio, who were joined by the special appearance from ex-resident Mick, who complimented the band beautifully on snare drums.

The band presented us with some wonderful new material all of which had a great 60’s ‘up lifting of spirits feel’ with songs we knew from way back, with words not forgotten as we sang-a-long. Ah the good old days bought much nostalgic delight for residents.

Marty then did a version of Amazing Grace which was well received and towards the end of the night Mick graced us with a couple of songs by Bobby Darren & Jerry & the Pacemakers was an absolute delight, such a gorgeous velvet like voice, very reminiscent of Sinatra era. We are so blessed that such a talented group share their time & talents with us.
