With great thanks to past residents and their families, who initiated an application to the Coomealla Memorial Sporting Club for a $3,000 grant to purchase some new goods for the Homes.
The Coomealla Sporting Club has established a renowned reputation for its level of community and regional support through the grants program. It was established over 70 years ago as a community club for the people of Coomealla and surrounding areas. Today it is considered a multi-faceted facility providing sporting, accommodation and extensive options for indoor and outdoor dining and functions. It has over 10,000 members and incorporates nine sporting clubs.
The Coomealla Memorial Sporting Club is located near the Murray River in Dareton which the heart of the Coomealla Irrigation Area and is in the far south west of New South Wales. It is 20 kilometres from the regional centre of Mildura, across the border in Victoria.
After discussions with Craig Muir the General Manager of the Coomealla Memorial Sporting Club and our residents and staff at the Homes we are delighted to show and list what quality products we purchased with the funds to improve our facilities for the residents while staying here in Melbourne to receive medical care.
